- QuizPart of the evidence in Jim Neece's case is a documentary about the day of his funeral called Danny My Boy. In the opening of the movie, Kevin Neece breaks down and talks about the curse of Bad Goddess, where strange coincidences and acts of serendipity relating back to Bad Goddess, Ah My Goddess, Norse Mythology, or the Norns, would happen to such an extent, that it made Kevin paranoid that the Asatru Goddesses which were the inspiration for Belldandy Urd and Skuld in the anime show might be real and attempting to curse him. Knowing that a court of law would never accept that Jim Neece's death may have been the climax of a psychological ghost story, Kevin performed several tests involving the Ah My Goddess/Bad Goddess cartoons and a Ouija Board to see if he could cause the serendipity coincidences to happen in a manner that could be proven to a lawyer. Kevin doesn't believe that he can convince a judge with proof of the supernatural, but he does believe that if he can prove the coincidences really happened, then a psychologist can explain how it drove Kevin into the state that he was in at the beginning of Danny My Boy, and possibly come up with a logical explanation for some of them. The Ouija Board ritual is simple. Wait until somewhere between Midnight and 3am. Place a Ouija Board under the DVD player, lay out something that was handwoven next to it and light up a religious candle. You can use a fancy candle like the ones they sell at the Glass Coffin located off of South 1st in Austin Texas, but it isn't necessary. A simple religious candle from Walmart works too. Whatever you do, do not use black. It will bring you terrible misfortune over the following week, such as your car breaking down, the loss of your job, people lashing out at you in public places, or physical health problems that require a visit to a doctor's office. If you so desperately want to find out if there is validity behind the black candle misfortune claims, you are an idiot and completely deserve what's going to happen to you. Make an announcement for the appearance of the Norns: "Hammer in the North, Hallow and Hold this Holy Stead. Hammer in the South, Hallow and Hold this Holy Stead. Hammer in the East, Hallow and Hold this Holy Stead. Hammer in the West, Hallow and Hold this Holy Stead. Thor we call upon you to banish all evil and unwanted entities. We call out to our ancestor Goddesses, the Three Fates, from Norse Mythology. Urdr, Verdandi, and Skolde, we invoke you in all your names. I read to you now this section of Voluspo. An ash I know, Yggdrasil it's name, with water white, is the great tree wet. Thence come the dews, that fall in the dales. Green by Urth's well, does it ever grow. Thence come the maidens, mighty in wisdom, three from the dwelling, down 'neath the tree. Urth is named one, Verdandi the next, on the wood they scored, and Skolde the third. Laws they made there, and life allotted, to the sons of men, and set their fates. We call upon you in all your names to be here with us today." When the images of the Three Norns appear onscreen, tell them you've invited them to watch Oh My Goddess. Take out the DVD, and put in the first disc of the 1990's Oh My Goddess OVA. Let it run to the end of the disc, then let the menu with the music play. Let the candle stay lit until morning. During this event, nothing will happen. You might feel a little unnerved, but that could possibly be psychological. Sometime during the next day or over the course of the following week, a coincidence that relates back to what you did will occur, and you won't have a rational way to explain it. Kevin performed this ritual the night before he shot The Mystery of Jim Neece and the San Jacinto Waste Pits. The next day when he shot the video, he posted it online, and Skuld's name appeared in the YouTube web address. It's specific spelling was SKUldphY-rM. This is a perfect example of the kind of coincidences that Kevin Neece was noticing over the course of making Bad Goddess, however, he did not obtain the Ouija Board until after the death of Jim Neece, right before he shot Brenda Fest at Texas Mist. Kevin isn't really sure that the spiritual entity that haunted him was really the Three Norns. First off, the entity appears to have the ability to manipulate events in your life. But according to the Asatru Community, the Norns don't change Fate. Once your thread is made, that's it, there will be no changing it or cheating your way out of it. Secondly, one of the warnings of Ouija Boards is that the entity that is responding to you often impersonates your dead relatives to get you to converse with it. It's possible that a malevolent entity or evil spirit was haunting Kevin and took advantage of his obsession with the Norns in an attempt to harass him into the state that he was in during the opening of Danny My Boy.
