- Dealing with cancer as a result of a solar flare that wiped out half the population, Lance "Uppercut" Wilkins (Davis) has given up on everything and is just looking for the next meal. His path drastically changes when he is captured, nearly eaten, then saved by Psychs, a cannibal with a higher calling (Viera). Seeing no other path and not wanting to be eaten before he can at least get a decent meal, Lance reluctantly agrees to allow Psychs to tag along with him, unwitting to the much bigger and grander purpose that is about to befall them both.
- In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a solar flare, drifter Lance would like nothing more than to be left alone in peace - and maybe some decent cereal to eat. What he gets instead is a nearly impossible mission only he can complete and a group of merry miscreants that he just can't seem to shake.—Green Tater Productions
- The world's population has been decimated following a solar flare. Those who remain struggle with cancer, brain damage, or possibly both. Lance 'Uppercut' Wilkins (Elijah Davis), who falls into the first category, has taken to a life of drifting and ravaging with his highest aspiration being the procurement of his favorite cereal Sugar Shingles. During a routine search, Lance is found and rendered unconscious by affable cannibal Psychs (Brian Viera) who intends to eat him until each of them saves the other's life from an attack by less friendly cannibals (Monica DePaul and Ryan Crowley-Hughes). Psychs develops a taste for redemption and is convinced that Lance will be his new friend and guiding light. Lance reluctantly allows Psychs to tag along, hoping he will get bored and wander off leaving Lance to wallow in peace. Their journey continues to be aimless until they literally stumble on a box containing a mysterious glowing object. After conversing with local psychic Greasy Sarah (Carla Morales), Lance becomes convinced that this object is the cure for cancer, which he hopes will cure him and provides him hope for the first time that he can remember. Lance's mission to figure out this mystery cure becomes continually sidetracked by the antics of Psychs and his constantly growing party: Fish (Doug Cashell), the suicidal handyman who has run afoul of fearsome faction boss Ruckus (Tariq Rasheed); Eve (Lini Sherburne), a psychotic former serial cultist sent by Greasy Sarah to assist Lance and Psychs; and Ulna (Vanessa Sterling), the best assassin in the Forefront who initially hunts Lance and Psychs until she realizes she can best obtain their object by assisting them. After completing a mission for Ruckus, Ruckus informs them that the answers they seek will be found with The Source, who is the arbiter of all knowledge, and they set off on a perilous mission to find the Source.
