Another good episode
While not every episode of "Public Defender" was great, and the show was a bit stiff, the show generally still entertains if you watch the shows--which you can download for free from archive.org. "Road to Nowhere" is one of those very good episodes and one worth seeking.
The show begins with a couple honeymooners driving down a highway when they have an accident and a highway patrolman is killed. The driver, the young wife, is jailed on charges of drunk driving and vehicular homicide. Bart Matthews' job is to dig into the facts to determine is she is indeed responsible or if there's some other reasonable explanation. The thing standing in the way is the dead man's partner...and he's anxious to see this lady rot in prison.
This is a good episode because the acting is a bit better than usual--thanks to a couple of the guest stars (Maggie and the cop). Interesting from start to finish and unusual compared to other episodes because they staged the accident for the viewers.
