I liked the concept & execution of this new paranormal show on Travel Channel. It was different than your normal ghost hunting show. It provided much more of the history of a location which always seems to be spookier to me than any kind of "evidence" anyone finds. However I do think its a bit overproduced. For example, we dont need the -cut to- Case Log video diary segments, etc. Just tell the story. Maybe in time some of the forced acting will be evened out too. But I like this new entry. I'll watch again.

First of all I want to say that the people who reviewed this show after 1 or 2 episodes, have seriously undercut it. The amount of work/though that has very apparently gone into this show is astonishing. The on-site investigation seems the be the easiest part and that's the way it should be. These guys are really digging into the history of these cases and looking at things from different angles. Dave enunciates because he's got a radio voice. That's bad? The one thing I do have an issue with is the over production part. The beginning back and forth roundtable into meeting needs to be more loose and less scripted. It sets the tone for the whole show and that's misleading people. Dave, your narrating in between segments is terrific. Just change that initial tone at the beginning. Maybe bring in Shane and Cindy for it. Shane is getting more relaxed. He's gonna bring you that "Goodwin" element that's really important. Loosen up big guy.
Love the historical viewpoints

First, anything with Dave Schrader has instant credibility. Cindy Kaza is a refreshing addition and the the third guy is like a loose wheel. Overall I love the historical viewpoints that have been established and how they go about validating them. Really look forward to new episodes. Enjoy a cast that doesn't try to go over the top for ratings. Just present the facts, that's interesting enough.

I'm really like Cindy and The cast. I watched all the paranormal shows on Travel Channel and find myself always going back to this one. It's different in the way that they solve a mystery along with paranormal activity. I hope they bring this back.

I started watching this not knowing what this was about, and thinking it was going to be a stupid program I would turn off. I was wrong. This is absolutely one of the best Ghost hunting shows they put out in a while. They have great locations, great story lines, and they come out with plenty of evidence because they have some good technology and people they work with. I was so excited when I heard Ghost nation was coming out, but man... This is 100 times better. If you have not watched this yet and you like ghost hunting programs, watch it asap.. It won't dissapoint!

Decent show but frustratingly it feels like they barely scratch the surface of any investigation. If you're a fan of Dead Files, this show will probably appeal to you. Feels like it's the same producer / director, especially the camera focusing on his ring when the guys driving or talking (throwback to Steve).
Pro's: Creepy atmosphere, interesting clips of Hans original case files, keeps your interest throughout the show.
Con's: Sketchy video evidence that has yet to catch any source of noises they hear (and not enough to make me actually believe), far too much focus on "EVP" evidence that sounds like nothing but noise, using a gimmicky"spirit box" / Olvilus when they have a lack of other evidence happening, constantly replaying the same clips of Hans investigation throughout the episodes wasting time (once is plenty, thanks), stopping in the middle of an investigation when things start heating up, useless subjective evidence ("it touched me" "it grabbed me" "I have chills"), and it feels like they have done nothing to add to Hans original investigations - they seem to just piggyback on the locations and quit when they find some tiny piece of sketchy evidence.
I do like their resident psychic Cindy, she's slightly more believable given she's so badass and not freaking out over every little strange noise or feeling, but still impossible to know if she's actually legit or just a great actress.

The use of scientific equipment to demonstrate "science" is yet again so overplayed. They find two maybe three evidentiary snippets and then decide the case is solved and boss man stows the file away in a safe. What was accomplished? They're never actually clear. Why is there never anything that witnesses see like full apparitions or demons? I think we know why.

Sorry but any kind of spirit good or evil don't perform on command. I listened to Dave Schrader from Darkness radio every night and that show scared the crap out of me. He even debunked many people openly on his show. He had a group doing evps on one night and he and his assistant realized all the quest did was run the tape name and intro backwards, Dave ripped this guy a new on air for over an hour defaming him and his crew. Dave has been on many shows Ghost Adventers with Zak Bagans now there's a show that I wonder about as being fake at times.

Love the history that's given of the locations, but these guys are TERRIBLE actors. I can't stand when Cindy even speaks-she's obviously fake as can be. And I liked her on other shows. Now I can't stand her because of her fakiness. It's way too scripted!

It's pretty well done but there's one aspect I cannot stand. Most of the time they do not point out video evidence. Almost always I have no idea what they're seeing. Why they don't point the evidence out with a white arrow like other ghost hunting shows is beyond me.

Amazing finds in this show. I love how they font use the "there's an orb" even when they're actually is. I feel they're extremely genuine. Love it!!! I do, however hate the fact that Cindy looks like a platypus after those Botox injections. You'rea naturally beautiful woman.... until that.

I've always liked David Schrader. This group is calm cool and collected..no shouting dude every 3 seconds. No hysterical females. Very professional. I hope there is a season 2. I like the fact that they go back into history..the tapes from Mr. Holzer are extremely well they're creepy but they're amazing. If you like a calm efficient paranormal sure this is the one for you.

First of all, it sounds too scripted. You can tell that their reactions of surprise are fake and rehearsed. Also, the medium used is not of the same caliber as Sybil Leek and the other mediums that Hans worked with in the past.
Everyone on the show seems nice enough but it's not serious investigative work like Hans's.

Been watching the Holzer files since the beginning and this is one well produced, well written program, tailored after the now legendary DEAD FILES. I had the distinct honor of knowing Ed and Lorrain Warren, having interviewed them on my own radio show several times, even being invited to one of their middle of the night investigations! What took me by surprise here is that the late great Hans Holzer, a hands down pioneer in the field of paranormal investigations, may have inspired the Warrens. Incredible stuff. it is also noteworthy that Holzer left many tape recordings and film clips of his work around the world, and let's all remember that this was carried out in the day when video cams and computers did not exist. Basically, he took on each case with a notebook, tape recorder and a hand held super 8 camera, state of the art in its day! Let the record show that these recordings are absolutely chilling and that's where Dave Schrader and his team come in, kind of picking up the pieces where Holzer left off. Armed with superior equipment, Dave is able to build onto Holzer's findings, in fact, also debunk and re-write some of the case histories. The team clearly does their research, much like in the DEAD FILES, and it shows. More over, as this series has progressed many of the later episodes are eye-opening, keeping you glued to the screen and keeping the team on its toes. The show's opening is especially fun with Schrader pouring over the recordings of Holzer and his guests, generally a medium, deep in a trance! "This is my home, and will always be!" the medium eerily moans! Again, this is one highly recommended documentary program and hopefully it will be around for many years to come. Keep your eyes and ears open as to when it will eventually be released on dvd. It'll be worth the purchase price. The sooner the better.

It makes me sick, when everybody claims some psychic is fake, bcus they don't believe, I enjoy the the show, even if it's for a laugh., skeptic people, meet the psychic or alien first, those who have nothing better to do -( should watch a nature show, don't worry crocodiles do exist.)

I watched the first season and loved it. To be honest was never sold on much but it was fun to watch. Then the acting became apparent. Shane is a horrible actor. His " ghostly " attacks are horribly faked. Cindy is fed information by Shane when she is supposed to not know about the haunting. Dave is almost believable but his constant attacks by ghosts are unbelievable. I can sell being shoved better than he can.
I was hoping for a season 3 but I no longer care about the show. Pretty sure it's faked.

This is seriously the best show. It doesn't feel fake or coerced. They seem to take the investigations very seriously and get great evidence. My only wish is that as soon as they start getting evidence to not leave! They always leave when things get interesting. Other than that, I just absolutely love this show. I'm hoping for this show to go on to season 3 and 4 and 5 and 6... you get the message.

Just a point of curiosity really. How can it be that the team are able to communicate with the spirits of native American Indians? Surely it would have been an extremely remote possibility that they understood English.
I feel the authenticity of the original investigations by Hans Holzer could have been more focused upon, but I guess the show is centred around whether or not the current team can add additional facts and/or corrections to previous perceptions.
Overall, I enjoy the show but there are some aspects which seem rather staged and acted out.
Cindy seems to be genuine and obviously also appeared in The Dead Files.

If this had been an examination of Hans Holzer's investigations, it would be an interesting show. This ghost hunting show is just bad. It's usual recipe of the camera pointing the wrong direction when something is supposedly happening and someone saying something touched them when there's no camera footage to back it up. Cindy Kaza seems really fake. I wouldn't believe her if she told me the sky was blue.

To the producers of this show, please lose the flashing lights, strobing and other editing effects that can trigger seizures and migraines (from which I suffer).
I like Cindy and sense she is the real deal. Her way of reading a site is wonderful. Shawn, please don't be the 'Zak Bagans' of the series. The less drama, the better.
Were it not for the editing, I would have rated the show a 10.

A really good who dunnit

This show is a really good who dunnit and it doesn't matter if you're into ghosts or not. The pacing is good, there's a few really good twists and turns, the are interesting cases. Sure the standard reactions gets a bit tiring and it's a bit formulaic but we'll worth a watch.
