Inspirational search for missing heroes ..........
merklekranz3 October 2009
This film is extraordinary for a number of reasons. It is very much like a hunt for buried treasure, only with an outcome so much more rewarding. Searching the Peleliu islands for the remains of missing World War Two U.S. airmen, Dr. Patrick Scannon and a group of dedicated volunteers explain their quest in this amazing film. We get some background on the lost planes and crew members, interviews with living relatives, and jungle and underwater searches for evidence of the crash sites. Everything is tastefully done, and extremely moving. I highly recommend "Last Flight Home" as inspirational viewing.................... MERK

Are you proud to be an American? You will if you watch this film

It was a horrible war, WWII, taking over 60,000,000 lives and leaving America with over 88,000 Missing in Action. That's conceivably eighty-eight thousand families who still--over sixty years later--have no idea where their loved ones remains now lie.

But one very courageous and passionate group of people banded together--lead by Dr. Pat Scranton--to make a difference. Based in Palau, the team that works under the banner of "Bent Star Project" spent six years filming and following the efforts to locate and identify the remains of wrecked decaying planes that fell into and around the island.

See the undeniably noble effort of these hard-working volunteers in their effort to reunite the fallen with their families and the family's gratitude, all these years later for their services. You don't want to miss this film.
