Was happy to see Larry Manetti (Rick) from the original Magnum, P.I. from the 1980's

I love Magnum PI- always did.

You get to see Hawaii (never been), the gorgeous Perdita Weeks and all the rest of the gang. This has really grown on me -and much as I adored the Tom Selleck one- I look forward to this one just as much. I thought the sweet pick-pocket character was adorable- and really hope he becomes a regular. He was quite charming. This is a delicious piece of relaxation television- and that is exactly why I watch it.

Old script lying around?

'The dollar is strong now'

Wow, that line shows it's age. Makes you think it's a script they had lying around for another serie, about 3 years old minimal.

Color of Magnum car

In season 2 episode 2. It looks like Magnums car when he arrived at ladies house was red but when he left it changed to a dark color. Is this a mistake? Joe
