All That Glitters has a reasonable crisis and some solid humor, its just not all that engrossing. Things in Eureka mysteriously start turning to gold and digging through he layers as to why is mildly entertaining plus Carter is a funny and protective father (which is the best bit of the experience). It's an easy watch throughout the episode but before the closing credits roll it becomes clear that everything that happened was only a vehicle for propelling the story into the next episode. The viewer just feels so used... One look at the season episode listing tells us that we are prepping for the season finale. That fact rather jades the whole story experience. Wish it didn't
