While everyone is watching the total eclipse, bright sunlight can be seen behind the crowd.
In an opening scene, the camera shows Taggart from behind as he is lecturing a group of children and his legs are visible all the way down to his feet. When the camera view switches to show him from the front, there is a bench immediately behind him and he sits down on it. The bench was missing from the previous view or it would have blocked the view of his legs.
Taggart's theory that exotic mesons created by solar flares causing spontaneous human combustion is flawed because mesons are very unstable particles that only exist for a few milliseconds after being formed, so they would never reach Earth, since it takes light roughly 8.3 minutes to reach Earth, the mesons would decay long before they got here.
Taggart's explanation for the spontaneous combustion is nonsensical because the Sun is completely blocked by the Moon so no particles or radiation will reach Earth. In fact, that is the reason it is safe to remove safety glasses and look directly at the eclipse.
Sheriff Carter says to Henry, "you and I are going to be living with the memory of a timeline that's gone."
At the end of season 1, "Once in a Lifetime," Sheriff Carter stopped Henry from creating that other timeline. Since Sheriff Carter stopped Henry from creating that other timeline, Henry would never have gone through it, hence this Henry would have no memory of the other timeline.
What is overlooked, is that there are three timelines involved. The original timeline, where Kim died and Henry didn't come from the future. The altered timeline we see in Once in a Lifetime (2006) where Henry came from the future and saved Kim. And the final timeline, where Carter comes from the future to prevent Henry from saving Kim. Henry has the memories from the original timeline. Carter has the memories of the "Once in a Lifetime" timeline. They both indeed have memory of a timeline that's gone.

After the gross demonstration where the meson beam caused the flesh to explode, Taggart says the mystery is solved. It is not solved because Wayne Kwan did not explode, he burst into flames and burned to death leaving a charred corpse that was unrecognizable.
Carter tells S.A.R.A.H., "no video phone in the bathroom," and she agrees, then in the very next scene Alyson is looking at Carter in the bathroom on her computer. The video should have already been turned off.
In previous episodes the artifact was glowing brightly, emitting radiation, so people entering the room had to wear radiation suits and could only stay for thirty (30) seconds. Nathan walks in completely unprotected, collapses and was exposed to the artifact for more than thirty (30) seconds. In addition, the artifact now looks like tangled vines and is not glowing.
Everyone puts on high tech eclipse glasses to view the sun before totality. At totality, everyone should be taking their glasses off to be able to see the sun's corona (aka Taggart's Firebird).
