When Gold Experience Requiem first appears, it turns rubble into scorpions. One of these scorpions stings Diavolo and he stomps on it as a result. This should have hurt Diavolo as Giorno's creations reflect the damage they receive back to their attackers. In the manga, Diavolo does not hurt the scorpion.
