Goofs

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

Edit

Continuity

(at around 28 mins) When Coriolanus Snow and Sejanus Plinth are eating before visiting the tributes in the zoo, Snow pockets one of three cookies from his plate. However, the number of cookies change with each clip.
(at around 5 mins) As Snow approaches the Statue of Justice, crossing the traffic circle, there are no motorcycles to be seen, but one passes behind him as he is seen looking at the Statue.

Factual errors

(at around 59 mins) When Lamina kills Marcus, his corpse should be spurting blood from the neck, as that's where she's just hit him with an ax. There should also be a huge puddle of blood on the floor when he falls.

Revealing mistakes

(at around 2h 5 mins) Before Coriolanus is about to jump on the truck to meet up with Lucy Gray, he is seen hiding behind another truck. The camera then pans to the gate which has stationed guards on the same side that he is hiding, meaning the guards should be able to see him hiding in plain sight.
(at around 1h 35 mins) Soon after Coriolanus' head is shaved, the roots of Tom Blyth's natural brown hair are seen briefly.
(at around 43 mins) When the rebels attack the arena and Marcus runs out, two people in what appear to be dressed in peacekeeper uniforms run out after him and are subsequently shot.
(at around 2h 10 mins) Towards the end of the movie when Coriolanus and Lucy Gray are in the hut, Coriolanus finds a weapons cache under the floorboards. Whilst he is inspecting a rifle, the silver marking on the butt-stock has clearly been superimposed onto the prop, as it can be seen slightly moving around and almost shimmering. Clearly, a fixed marking would not do this.

Character error

(at around 2h 10 mins) Coriolanus shouts "Is it poisonous?" after being bitten by a snake. Being top of his class, he should know that snake bites can only be venomous, not poisonous.
