This picture does a great job of exposing . . .
. . . the perennial incompetence of law enforcement in England. This planet harbors many foggy locales, but only the British Isles seems to lose most of its Public Enemies in the fog. SCOTLAND YARD illustrates the total incompetence of the so-called United Kingdom''s top police agency. English "bobbies" are notoriously rotund, incapable of outrunning virtually any fleeing criminal. These incurable couch potatoes are content to collect salaries skimmed off hard-working taxpayers, resting easy with the smug assurance that official inquiries will find them faultless as long as they keep claiming that they're losing prime suspects in the fog. Even the chief of SCOTLAND YARD states with a straight face that he lost Big Ben in the fog!
