Storyline
Featured review
As we're just two days away from the . . .
. . . 405th anniversary of Walter Raleigh's decapitation, many viewers may be wondering if PEABODY'S IMPROBABLE HISTORY: SIR WALTER RALEIGH, skirts the grisly practice of parading newly-decapitated noggins on London Bridge during this epoch of English History. (This routine gave rise to many phrases still in common use today, such as "Head's up!" and "You're such a dumb numb-skull!") To make a long explanation briefer, SIR WALTER RALEIGH stops a few years prior to the day when the title character was cut short. King James of Bible version fame had not yet taken the crown--a coronation enabling him to play P. Pilate in signing Walt's death warrant.
