Plot Summary

Vivian Fernandes, aka DIVINE, grew up in a slum in Mumbai, living with his brother and an abusive father as his mother lived abroad, earning a living to keep the family afloat. A young boy, subject to the influence of several factors around him, DIVINE chose the way of music, instead. This documentary chronicles his journey from Vivian to DIVINE, as he breaks barriers in the world of hip-hop by bringing "gully rap" to the forefront and giving a voice to the streets through his music. Through his remarkable journey, he never lost focus on his one main goal, to bring his mother home.
