The original trailer scene in the extended version of the short is ten minutes long and was filmed in one continuous camera move spanning over 15 perspectives.
The original short has a title sequence where the waitress walks off a train after drugging Arlonzo. While filming, the cops were called by a member of the train staff who did not know the production had clearance to shoot the train. Despite the papers, the cops kicked the production off the train and demanded confiscation of the tape stock. In the passion of the moment the documentary cameraman handed over one of his b-roll tapes as the footage and the crew left with the shots they needed for the film.
The final car shot was obtained by an illegal shut down of a Port Jervis highway by the crew. This enabled the camera car to follow a 1967 Ford Mustang on the wrong side of the road.
