In an early scene in the Bridgertons' drawing room, Hyacinth jumps up from playing cards with her brother on the line "I shall begin practicing straight away!" and exits the room. The camera turns to a conversation between Eloise and Benedict, following which Hyacinth is shown back playing cards again, seeming not to have left.
The Featherington family should all be in mourning clothes at the end of the episode. Instead they are all shown wearing their regular bright colors rather than black.
It is implied that because of the bet that he won Lord Featherington was killed by his rivals giving him laudanum poison. However laudanum was not a poison, but a medicine. It was a mix of opium, morphine and codeine in alcohol. it was used as a pain reliever and cough suppressant. If someone were to take too much of it it is possible for them to die from am overdose though.
