At the showdown, the scene starts with Sho hiding behind three students who are tied together. When his mother is electrified, he then steps through the three, one of them visibly stepping apart from the other two.
Takashi's father is hit by some shuriken, and parallel wounds are shown across his face. The next shot shows the wounds with the bottom one slanted up to meet the top one at one side of the face.
Ami can be seen hiding her left arm in her shirt throughout the film.
When the Machine Girl confronts a group of guys in the beginning, she lunges into the air with her arms spread wide, where you can clearly see that they are both intact. Shortly after landing on the ground she shows that her left arm is actually missing and what remains is a nub.
It is clearly visible in several scenes throughout the movie that several of the weapons are simply soft, plastic props. For example often when Ami swings her Gatling gun arm, the barrels flex from the motion.
Near the end, after "Miki" has attached the chainsaw to her missing right foot and screams "Ami!!...Don't give up!!!," she appears to collapse and die. Ami later finds her "dead", however if you look closely, as Ami closes Miki's eyelids, you can plainly see Miki's heartbeat visibly thumping in her jugular at her throat.
When Ryota's father gets showered on blood, the make-up appliance "moves" while he screams in pain, showing his real skin underneath.
(Approx. 32 minute mark) The pot is far too small to contain a human head.
