- Serheï succeeds in identifying the victim from the canoe thanks to his ring, which a hotel employee recognizes.
- In order to make progress with the investigation, Serhij seeks the advice of his father, who was also a policeman. He advises him to carefully read the signs of a suspected serial killer. But first, a classic approach helps Serhij: using her ring, a hotel employee is able to restore the identity of the dismembered female corpse from Odessa. It is a Polish woman called Bozena Kaczmarek. However, her trail disappears after she checks out of the hotel, where a severed arm is later found. Meanwhile, Bohdan finds out who abducted Serhij the night before and left him tied up on the beach: the internationally networked businessman and arms dealer Kiryl Matwiejenko. In Prague, Viktor's colleague Ota has created a precise profile of the calls made by the second murder victim, Vera Vitova. Above all, however, he has proof that Vera's girlfriend Lida has also been staying in the Prague luxury villa belonging to Milan Sova's company. However, there is no trace of Lida. At the same time, Maria's colleagues Jozef and Marek find the place where Vera was most likely killed and her clothes burnt in a wooded area. The only remnant is the heel of a high-heeled shoe. Meanwhile, Viktor and Maria are hot on the heels of dodgy businessman Milan Sova when he leaves the office late at night. Strangely enough, he drives to an abandoned factory site, apparently because someone has ordered him there .—Arte
