Wow, what a great film. I wasn't sure what to expect as the film was recommended by a work colleague but I was completely bowled over.
The story line is about rage, despair, redemption. It tells the story of "Tom" who at the beginning of the film is some high flyer working fast, playing fast, reckless and at odds with himself. He goes too far and his life changes dramatically. He has to deal with new situations , way of life etc. He comes across his fragile neighbour Ines brilliantly played by Caroline Ducey, There is something translucent in Caroline, she offers so much to the character of Ines - the underlying sadness in her.
What I loved about the film was how it was shot. It is more of a European genre, with scenes filmed in parts of London I don't even know exist (being a Londoner that a mean feat!). The cinematography is sublime with the essence of hope filtering through the lens as the story progresses - brilliant and beautiful.
