The first truck driver at the beginning of the show was shot while trying to drive away from the crooks. When the patrolman found the driver on the road, it showed he was shot in the middle of his back. There is no logical way he could have been shot in this way while seated and driving away in a car, moving and several feet away from the crooks. If he was hit at all, it would have been a very lucky head shot, and through the glass or metal of the car.
