- Lt. Rod Blake: Oh, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. You know, the .30-30 has long been the favorite hunting rifle of the folks who originally settled the more remote regions of Nevada. This particular rifle belonged to a young backwoodsman who couldn't speak, so he let his rifle speak for him - even when there was death in what he tried to say. You'll hear about him in a story called, "The Sniper".
