Sex & Nudity

  • There are many sex scenes throughout the show. Some of them contain graphic nudity and most of them contain some kind of nudity (breasts, buttocks...).
  • Prostitution is one of the most relevant themes in the show, therefore, various sexual encounters are shown. Some prostitutes, including Cristina herself, wear provocative dresses and casually reveal their breasts.
  • Some sequences include nudity in a non-sexual context.
  • Sexuality and gender are discussed in every episode. Characters make plenty of sexual references and jokes. They also give graphic details of their experiences.
  • A woman grabs a man's crotch, as "thanks" for lighting her cigarette.

Violence & Gore

  • A mother is violent with her child. She abuses her child in many ways, both physical and psychologically.
  • A woman bites off another woman's nipple. She later stabs a man. Gory and over the top.
  • There are countless of fights and arguments represented throughout the series. Some of them are quite violent.
  • A man is shown climbing onto a chair and hanging himself. We see his body dangling afterwards.

Profanity

  • The original version in Spanish contains an extensive amount of different swear words and sexual references. Some are lost in English subtitles and dub, but words like "f*ck", "p*ssy" or "b*tch" are still used.
  • The F-slur is used all the time, many times as an insult.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Lots of drug (mostly cocaine) and alcohol use overall.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Although the show contains plenty of jokes, it is a very raw and dark story about a trans woman's difficult life.
  • Many upsetting and disturbing scenes involving homophobia and transphobia.
  • Some of the more violent sequences can be hard to watch.
  • There are many emotionally intense moments throughout.
  • A goat is dropped from a bell tower. It is implied that the crowd of people below catches it, but the scene cuts mid-fall.

Sex & Nudity

  • Veneno is forced to have sex with men in prison.

Violence & Gore

  • Two teenagers are beaten by a group of homophobes. Some blood is shown.
  • A man is abusive with his girlfriend. He puts her dog in the microwave in the middle of a fight, she tries to save it but he continues beating her. This scene is rather disturbing.
  • A woman is forced to work as a prostitute in a male prison. She is raped in many occasions.
  • Cristina supposedly tries to commit suicide. There's a pool of blood next to her and some blood stains through her apartment.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Veneno becomes a drug addict and alcoholic and she's drunk or high in many situations.
