King of the Hammers is one of the world's biggest off-road races. 150 drivers battle nearly 200 miles over unforgiving terrain, from steep mountain ravines filled with massive rocks, to long stretches of barren desert, deep in the heart of the Mojave Desert in California. It's man and machine versus Mother Nature. It's youth versus experience as last year's champion, 25-year old Erik Miller defends his title. While second place finisher, 40-year old Jason Scherer, will be one of the many top drivers aiming to topple Erik from his throne.

We follow 24-year old Adrenalin junky, Tom Liu. Born and raised in the area, Tom has had a difficult upbringing. As a young boy, his father walked out on him and his mom and he has never seen him since. As a total underdog, Tom pushes himself and his car to the limit, his performance and insight into what drives him makes for one of the most exciting episodes in the series.
2017
The longest endurance race of the year will see drivers taking on 400km of brutally long stretches of sand and jagged rocks, and G-outs that can take cars out. In a pitched battle for national points we see Wayland Campbell and Levi Shirley go head to head leading to the championship but there is outsider and maverick Randy Slawson - 2 time King of the Hammers champion to watch out for and to never under-estimate.
