It does not seem plausible that a person can hold in her mouth a toxic substance that causes blindness without that person getting internal damage or very sick.

In the 19th minute when the blind Ellen cannot distinguish between to salt and pepper shakers, Clayton pushes forward the one with fewer dispensing holes on top. Traditionally, in a set of shakers, the pepper has fewer holes that the salt shaker.
In the 32nd minute Ellen is drinking after Clayton has left. The bottle's label reads (indescernable word) and 'vodka.' Below that, is the brand name in Russian characters. For a western market, the brand name would appear above the word 'vodka.'
