Olivia (Michael Learned) calls the Godsey General store to ask Corabeth Godsey (Ronnie Claire Edwards) to send a message up to the Walton house that Elizabeth (Kami Cotler) would be coming home from the hospital. However, It had already been established in "The Anniversary" (1978) that the Waltons had a phone installed in the house, there is no reason for Olivia (Michael Learned) to call the Godsey store to have the message relayed when she could call her children directly.
Mamie Baldwin tells the new teacher that their father was Judge Randolph Baldwin. However back in The Boondoggle, when Porter Symms does some research on Judge Baldwin John Boy reads the results of his research and he calls him Judge Matthew Baldwin.
When the family is getting Elizabeth out from under the logs, Grandpa says she's still unconscious, and Olivia tells John that her legs aren't moving. Unconscious people don't move their legs.
Mary Ellen would never have been allowed inside the hospital operating room for Elizabeth's surgery. It would have been then and still is now considered a conflict of interest.
Ben gives Elizabeth a modern federal reserve note green seal dollar which weren't printed until 1963. The silver certificate dollars in those days had blue seals.
At 47:25 of part 1 of "The Ordeal", Jim Bob goes to Ike Godsey's store to buy a gift for Elizabeth. Jim Bob buys a box of Chocolate covered Cherries from Corabeth. There is clearly a UPS on the bottom of the box. UPC bar codes weren't introduced until the early 70s.
After Elizabeth is rushed to the hospital, Grandpa is seen comforting Aimee, who is visibly upset. Then Jason, Grandpa, Ben, and Jim-Bob go to the hospital, and Aimee is not seen. Aimee is then shown arriving at the Godsey's store and tells her parents about the accident saying both of Elizabeth's legs are broken. Aimee would not have been sent to walk home alone after witnessing Elizabeth's accident and would have no way to know that both of Elizabeth's legs were broken. The family wasn't even told that until later at the hospital after Elizabeth's surgery.
