The film started out as a project with a 4 man crew, intended to be shot on a Panasonic GH5. The film was eventually realized with a crew just over 20 people, and shot on a RED EPIC.
Due to technical problems during shooting, all of the audio had to be done in post-production. Including all of the dialogue.
Cinematographer Nick Janssen joined the crew after Writer/Director Stijn van Drunen asked him to read and review the first draft of the script. When asked he replied; "Dude, I don't want to read your script. I want to shoot it".
Creators Stijn van Drunen & Stijn de Waal were interns at the company of Wout Kanters, who plays Ben in the film. They were quoted as saying; "It was very weird telling him what to do instead of the opposite for once".
