Storyline
| Plot Summary |
The founders of Dutch aviation, the idealistic Albert Plesman and opportunistic Anthony Fokker, are inextricably linked to each other. As the world recovers from one war and prepares for the next these two opposite personalities struggle to make the Netherlands a significant player in civil aviation and establish global brands that are still around today. |

| Trivia | In Episode 5 Fokker is a guest for dinner at Plesman's house. Plesman's son asks Fokker about the principle of flight. Fokker explains that you need tot speed up to get lift. The son reacts surprises and starts mumbling about underpressure on top of the wing. The writer wants toch tell us that Fokker does not understand the true principle of flight. But they are Both right: 75% is Newtons 3rd law of Action = Reaction and 25% is Bernoulli's law (the curved upside of the wing speeds up airflow, creating underpressure). See more » |
| Goofs | Albert Plesman's son, Jan, was a pilot with the KLM, and is shown to die in a crash in the mountains. In fact, he died later in WW2 while fighting with the RAF. See more » |
