I watched this with my kids because I knew some people that show up as extras in the band scenes. However, I was pleasantly surprised by it. I am not its target audience but I could still enjoy it and I think it is a good story with some great messages for kids.
I just started watching today and I'm in love. These characters are so relatable and yet so unique at the same time. Like, I said, I started watching it today and in between my crazy amount of work, I managed to already watch 6 episodes back to back. I think its fantastic and am on the edge of my seat. I think it is also cool that I noticed Cheyenne Jackson, Jadah Marie, and Booboo Stuart and all from the descendants franchise along with the director/producer Kenny Ortega. Also that Owen Joyner and Savannah Lee May worked together in Knight Squad. It's amazing to see different cast mates working together again.

Could be more kid-friendly but not it has good acting as singing yea stuff I disagree with but which shows doesn't know a days. It's a Netkfix movie.
There was a lot to like about this series - IF you ignored the usual high school overdone story lines - snotty "popular" white girl - wimpy boyfriend, "unpopular but talented minority girl - dead mom, obnoxious little brother.. all of that been there, seen it before. The other problem was the date. It obviously was NOT filmed in 2020 considering all the high schools in California were shut down this year, NONE of the performances, parties, etc would have been possible, which put a bit of a reality downer into an otherwise very enjoyable performance by some extremely talented actors! Looking forward to season 2.. IF they have a season 2!

Okay, so when I first saw this show on Netflix I wasn't so sure about a G-rated musical film since I was expecting some sort of sitcom or cheesy highschool show. I was very wrong. I watched the entire first season with my dad. We both loved it! I'll try to write this view spoiler-free as possible. So I'm the beginning of this show, we see 3 boys who are part of a boy band whose names are Luke, Reggie, and Alex. They die, then 25 years later wake up as ghost. The concept at first seemed weird to me but it's actually really interesting. They end up in the garage of a girls house named Julie. The main character is Julie who lost her mom 25 years ago and had a connection with these 3 guys. The songs in this series are really good. This show actually nearly made me cry at one point. I'd recommend this show to all ages, preferably at least 10 to understand the story more and the deeper themes it has. The end of s1 was a cliffhanger tho. Highly recommend!
