Heir to one of the richest families in early-20th-century Brazil, Jorge Guinle decided at a young age that he would not work a day in his life. A cultured, generous, charming man, Jorginho, as he was known, lived in wealth and luxury, met the most powerful men and most desirable women of his time, and died at 88 by a miscalculation: he didn't imagine that he would stay so long on the planet.
