Some of the harshest tabloid criticism of the series came from Terry's home country.
For this edition, Dublin's "Evening Herald" previewed the show in their listings pages as: "FAMED US sex therapist Dr Ruth Westheimer - who measures in at 4ft 7in - has made an industry out of sex manuals and now has a new book out called Erotic and Sensuous Pleasures. The word book, of course, should spell one thing only for TV viewers - Wogan (BBC 1, 7 pm). But the broadcast time and Wogan will surely keep this meeting with the Miniature for Sex clean and boring."
