Various folks from eleven different places in the United States participate in the November, 2004 presidential election in all sorts of ways. Director Katy Chevigny captures the hectic and exciting hustle and bustle of election day with bracing acuity. Moreover, it's especially nice and heartening to see people taking off from their jobs so they can make a significant positive difference with volunteer work they do for the election in the towns that they live in. Of course, there are a few voter registration foul-ups along the way plus the inevitable instances in which folks have to wait on line for a few hours in order to vote. In addition, it's sad to know that there are states that don't allow ex-felons to vote. Told at an intimate grass roots level, this documentary proves to be quite engrossing and illuminating in equal measure.
