Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake in The Open Road (2009)

Goofs

The Open Road

Continuity

When Kyle farewells Carlton and Lucy at the hotel restaurant in Ohio, Lucy's hair changes from tucked and non tucked behind ears in between shots.
When Carlton is descending the escalator at the baseball signing convention at the beginning of the film, you can see a young boy wearing an orange & dark striped polo shirt sitting on the steps behind him. Then you see the boy in front of Carlton, walking away with his dad. When the shot changes back, the boy is, again, on the escalator.
When they are stopped in front of the train you can see a car pulls up behind them. In certain shots the car is there and in others it's not, but the guy gets out later and they are stopped because of a passing train so it's clear it should have never moved.
Near the end of the movie, Carlton arrives at the airport with Kyle in a Jeep. There is a license plate on the front of the vehicle. In the next scenes, Carlton empties his locker then goes outside where Lucy is waiting near the Jeep. As it drives away, they show the rear license plate (same number as at the airport), but when they show the Jeep from in front, there is no license.

Factual errors

Carlton, Lucy and Kyle are leaving out of Memphis on a Southwest Airlines flight. Southwest did not fly out of Memphis until 2013.

Revealing mistakes

When the characters are lost and ask for directions, both they and a local refer to local highways as "the" 20 and "the" 65. This verbal affectation is largely limited to California and not used in the rest of the country.
There are some moments during the road trip that the Hummer is seen driving on the wrong side of the road.

Crew or equipment visible

When Carlton talks to Lucy in the hotel room regarding a flight out of Memphis, Lucy gets ready for bed. Her mic pack is showing behind her back under her t-shirt.
