Can Leoben be trusted?
a pawn to king four episode...
... and arguably the weakest in the entire series.
First, lets have some empathy for the writers.
When you are juggling so many balls (arcs) in the air, every now and then you need a cleanup episode, to reset the story, clean up the loose ends and get ready to move forward.
Which is what we have here.
But the job of the reviewer is to point out that, if all the prior episodes had been this weak, this episode, this season would not exist.
The episode is claustrophobic and frustrating. Everyone is acting in ways we are not used to. Don't make light of that. The dopamine high from watching good TV is based on familiarity and expectations. They are missing here.
What I found exceptionally odd is that the crew of the Demetrius which spent most of the episode considering that Thrace may be a Cylon actually had a known Cylon among them, but no one thought that odd.
I did. And the episode was weaker because of that.
