Dr Brennan a bit over the top?
pvpK251 July 2021
First a shout out to Bones Booth podcast for making me write a review on imdb:-). This is my second rewatch of Bones series.

Like the episode. I thought the writers made Dr Brennan more obnoxious than necessary, specially during the interrogations - she literally snatches pages out of Booth's hands, makes really offensive comments ( I am not religious at all still...) which is a bit over the top in this episode. Love Booth's interactions with the priest.

The case is not that difficult so the episode is mainly for the tension between the leads. Booth is an intelligent FBI guy, he may not be a scientist and may not know Wiilliam Blake's poems but I do not get why he keeps asking "what?" after each statement by Dr Fry.

Jarring facts in otherwise fairly enjoyable episode.

Wyatt Is a Great Character
Hitchcoc21 January 2023
This whole episode is based on a conflicting view of religion. Booth is a fundamentalist Catholic and his Catholicism is so intractable that he often can't see past the end of his nose. Brennan is a thorn in his side as she invokes her disbelief. Wyatt comes in and stirs things up. He is the kind of counselor who needs his charges to reach their own conclusion, even when he has the answers in his pocket. Angela's final speech says it in a nutshell. If Wyatt could state what is actually in his mind, he would say what she said. The two of them immediately for a kind of bond because they are both down to earth. Finally, a criticism another viewer noticed. The confession at the end should not stand up in a court of law. The person being interrogated had no explanation of rights.

Hey Bones Booth Pod!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Ok preacher calm down you're just as stubborn and proud as Bones is. I have to say orange berry pound cake sounds amazing. I know we go back and forth on the merits of therapy/therapists on this show but I disagree Bones those doctors save lives and help people everyday. Haha ofcourse Hodgins doesn't take the fungal infection seriously until Cam mentions that it can decrease libido, wouldn't want that especially when they're in the "Egyptian place". If it wasn't clean, bright and all those things Booth it wouldn't be sanitary and could contaminate evidence. You should be very flattered Gordon Gordon that was a huge compliment from Bones.

Romantic Tension!
mitchrmp16 July 2016
I must give this episode a ten because of the Booth and Brennan storyline!!!

In this episode, Brennan finds a body of a murdered man in a cemetery. Unfortunately, the murder leads to a Catholic church - and a log of fighting between the atheist, Brennan and the Catholic, Booth. The two do their best to work together to figure out how murdered the priest. As usual, there are many twists and turns that go into solving the crime.

In the previous episode, Brennan chose to stay instead of go off into the sunset with her boyfriend, Sully. Both Booth and Brennan are tense with each other and see the help of Dr. Wyatt. I knew exactly what Dr. Wyatt was doing, and Angela, in all her wisdom, nailed it at the very end of this episode. But Dr. Wyatt's answer was what Booth and Brennan needed to hear in order to get back into the groove of working together.

This is really the first time it's confirmed on the show that there is a romance developing between the B & B team.

Angela and Jack are still hot and heavy in their relationship. In fact, Angela struggles over the answer to Jack's question.

So much church

Warning: Spoilers
Loved: Booth and bones bickering, and Gordon "shrinking" both of them. And Booths growing enthusiasm for his therapy.

Hated: i honestly really disliked the priest taking that lady's "confession" at the end. I felt like Booth should have done that.
