Plot

It's the day of the big tournament and Yamato is nowhere to be found? He's been busy feeling bummed about recent events. Yasunobu tracks his forlorn friend down, using his own unique talents to trick Yamato into showing up at the last hour. Finding Suzuka in tears upon his arrival, Yamato - true to form and making things worse as he tries to make them better - confronts the one responsible for this most recent distress. He has just challenged his biggest competitor for the coming event! When his best efforts once more fall short of the mark, unexpected sympathy might heal more than hurt pride!

The day of the tournament has arrived, and Yamato decides to skip it. Instead, he tries to get Yasunobu to go to a karaoke with him, but ends up getting lured to the site of the meet. There, he finds Suzuka getting picked on by a person from another school. He ends up revealing himself from his hiding place, and making himself enemies with Arima Emerson, the current fastest runner in the 100 meter.
