The character Everitt wears an AG brevet, which as aircrew would have a minimum rank of Sergeant but he displays no rank insignia.
The episode opens with an obviously Catholic confession (since only Catholics practice confession and the confessor is seen praying the rosary). The character confesses to "breaking the 6th Commandment," and the priest replies: "You've killed someone?" In the Catholic tradition "Thou shalt not kill" is the 5th Commandment; it is the 6th Commandment in the Protestant tradition.
When Everitt is about to leave Wg Cdr Foster's office he is prompted to salute the senior officer, which he then does. But as Everitt is not wearing any headgear, he should not have done so.
At one point the audience sees what is supposed to be a view through a stereoscope as it is used to pan across a pair of aerial images of some buildings. As it pans, the perspective on the buildings changes. A real stereoscope does not behave that way: The perspective in each photograph of the pair is fixed.

The Henry Scott character is distraught over the fact that they RAF are using the maps that he works on to plan bombing missions, but mission planning was based on aerial photography. Maps would have come into use once Allied forces were on the Continent, but not for planning bombing missions.
When Wing Commander Foster was describing Henry Scott to Foyle, he said that he was an Air-craftsman 2nd Class (AC2) Given the technical job Scott was doing and the responsibility he would have carried, he would have been an AC1 at least, and more likely, would have had a senior NCO rank.
Wing Commander Foster told Foyle that he served with bomber command prior to his present assignment, but sometimes wears his top tunic button undone. This is an RAF uniform distinction unique to fighter, not bomber pilots.
