"Mere Oblivion" is a 7-minute live action short film from 2007. The writer and director and lead actor is Burleigh Smith and it is an Australian production. Early on, it has him explain a bit about the film, which felt pretty strange and I am not sure if this still belongs to the actual movie. Anyway, this is a very dialogue-driven little film, mostly comedy I guess and it is actually in black-and-white. The final plot twist was somewhat memorable, but everything before really wasn't and I am not sure it's worth waiting for the ending. All in all I must say nothing about this film was really good or even great and it does not get me curious about Smith's other works. I give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.
