Only Gratz captures SOE agent Captain David Mainwaring. His codename is 'Cadet' something Gratz picked up. He knew the Cadet was coming and Gratz had staged a dummy parachute drop, to distract the German soldiers.
The SS are annoyed at Gratz and his French and maybe Jewish girlfriend. However Gratz has his prey, a chance to interrogate and play mind games with Captain Mainwaring.
There is a sly dig or homage to Dad's Army with a character called Captain Mainwaring. I was surprised that Gratz knew the correct pronunciation of the name.
Part of it was a rehash with a similar episode earlier in the series. When Gratz first interrogated Nina.
Once again an excellent performance from Robert Hardy. You just don't know where Gratz is going. What his game plan is or is he just a bit mad.
