"Sorry your majesty, I was momentarily delirious"

Along with Whale of a Tale and Wish Upon A Starfish, Stormy is one of my favourite episodes from the Little Mermaid series. As much as I love this series, the original film will always be better, but both are firm childhood favourites. The animation is consistently good, and the music is amazing. Ariel's song in this one is just out of this world. Sebastian is quite hilarious here, and King Triton while refusing to let Ariel ride Stormy shows real care for his daughter, otherwise he wouldn't have gone out to see if she was in harm or not. The voice work is very good, Jodi Benson IS Ariel, and I think she has an extraordinary singing voice, and Kenneth Mars especially portrays King Triton with real firmness and warmth that I cannot imagine anyone else doing as well. Stormy himself is a wild seahorse, yet he is so beautiful and like Triton really cares for Ariel. In conclusion, this is a great episode to a great series. 10/10 Bethany Cox
