Joseph Jerman has written and directed this dandy little film. MARSHALL is about a guy who is married during the time of the Old West but he's too bone-headed to give up his riff-raff friends and listen to his wife plead with him to stop. Eventually, he's in way over his head when he goes along with his friends to rob a bank. Now it's too late and no matter how many times the main character says he's sorry, it can't undo the past.
The film has a nice look to it considering it's made by people who are relatively inexperienced with films. In particular, I liked the twist ending and how the story played out at the end--offering a nice and sobering surprise.
