Brooke Adams in Monk (2002)

Goofs

Mr. Monk Visits a Farm

Monk

Edit

Continuity

In Mr. Monk Gets Cabin Fever (2005), Randy claims that he has no uncle. But in this episode, Randy inherits a farm from his uncle.

Factual errors

When the deputy sheriff opened the truck door he may have been shocked as he was grounded when he opened the door. Sparks were visible. But electric fences on farms don't carry lethal voltages, so it would have been only a mild shock.

Revealing mistakes

Even though Harvey's pickup truck's hood is half-way through a live electrical barbed wire fence and the fence is still sparking, Deputy Hatcher opens the driver's side door to look at him without receiving a shock, or even any fear of receiving a shock.
In the scene where he is supposedly dead, Harvey can be seen breathing and his chest is moving.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

After the sheriff invites Monk to the dance, she walks away while telling Randy, "Do something about those deer." You can see her mouth the words before you hear them.

Plot holes

When an entire field of marijuana is burned, the whole town would know about it, unless the town was upwind. The aroma would waft over the entire countryside, including any nearby town.

Character error

Monk suggests that they do an autopsy on the dead prize pig, Nadine, before Randy admits that he ate her. An autopsy on an animal is actually called a necropsy.
