As Quatermass steps down and walks out of shot in the final moments, he passes the closing caption card "QUATERMASS AND THE PIT THE END" which can be seen on a stand in front of Camera 2, which is ready to display it on-screen.
At the end of the episode, after the final monologue is acted out as a BBC news broadcast, the title card reading "Quatermass and the Pit - The End" placed on a stand is clearly seen on screen, before fading in. A stagehand is also seen placing the card in its place.
