Good, not great
jgibbon0825 February 2007
I have been a fan of the OC since it was first aired and I own every available season on DVD, so I like most of the episodes. Although this episode was extremely enjoyable, there were some flaws that bugged me. First off, there is an earthquake in Orange County. Yes, it is possible and it was a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode, but from the wise words of Seth Cohen, this is "proof pudding" that the OC has truly run out of ideas. Another problem is the scene in the ice cream shop when Caitlin gives the boy faking the asthma attack "CPR". Apart from her performing CPR incorrectly, anyone with common sense knows you never ever perform CPR on a person having an asthma attack. That was just a dumb addition, they could have made Caitlin and Julie aware of this kid's feelings in some other way. Despite these flaws, this episode is definitely worth a viewing. It is charming and heartwarming, and I couldn't help but laugh when Veronica Townshend was walking with crutches.

The Night Moves (#4.15)

Warning: Spoilers
After the earthquake everyone has to deal with some issues. Ryan has a serious injury so he has Seth come and get him to the hospital. Taylor and Summer are looking for Pancakes and Taylor accidentally shoots her mom who comes to check if she is alright. Julie and Kaitlin bond together and with the ice cream guy until Franks gets them out. Kirsten has a scare that something is with her baby but it works out fine.

A pretty good and intense episode. Getting Ryan into the hospital was very eventful. As someone who loves animals I was very worried for Pancakes and Summer. and of course we also got to laugh. While it is great that Taylor and her mom had some good moment before the end of the show, Taylor shooting her was pretty funny. Just like the skeleton Summer and Taylor found in the attic. Julie and Kaitlin also give us some fun time with the ice cream guy who tricks him so much out of his love for Kaitlin. And the ending really makes one wonder for how it will go. Seems like they will be gone from OC

Draws you in and makes you feel the emotions
Dornik-219 February 2007
This was a good next to last episode. The cuts and editing were different, this is true. But I thought that the stiff cuts and fade-ins were very useful, and gave us a feeling of what it would be like to be in the same situation. (Especially in the scenes featuring Ryan.) As an overall episode, I think it worked well, even if it wasn't the next to last one. It would fit in anywhere else in the series just as well. This had a lot of memorable scenes, especially between Julie and Kaitlyn Cooper. The scenes between Ryan and Seth were well played, and showed how well they work together. Everyone was at the top of their game on this episode. It was an excellent chance for everyone's best qualities to shine and give us an emotional view of what they're like when they're only thinking of others, something rare in Orange County.

I rate it a 9/10.

pretty much the worst episode of the o.c. i've ever seen.
wgrunders198416 February 2007
i can't believe the o.c. would go to that extent trying to make the viewers into the show. there has been a few other bad episodes, but this one takes the cake by far. trying to shoot it with cameras like it was an episode of the shield. i still can't get over that they would try try to pull something like that off. shoot it like the others, would have made it a little more more worth watching.

i am a fan of the show, but this one really made me think twice of what i was watching. it still doesn't make sense to me that they would try to pull off something like this... maybe they should have just called it after last season. i really don't care that it's going off the air now after seeing this one.
