A great turn from Pamela Cundell steals the laughs.

Warning: Spoilers
Flora's in a panic, her forty year old engagement ring has disappeared. Cissie and Miss Milton try to help her remember where it is, she'd used Mildred's sewing machine and put it inside. Bad news is that Mildred has sold it to stop Flora borrowing it. After plenty of panic the ladies visit the sale room where it's due to go under the hammer. When parking the van Flora upsets dealer Mr Murphy, arguing over a parking space. At the bidding Mildred and Flora accidentally end up bidding against each other, but Mr Murphy steals it with a late bid. The machine then ends up in the hands of an antique dealer Mrs Rogers, but as always Cissie knows more then she's telling.

The pub scenes with Mr Murphy are really funny, there's been more for Dolly and Mildred to do in this episode. The episode is stolen by Pamela Cundell as is so often the case, she was hilarious as the shop owner, she's only in it a few minutes, but she is magical, the definite 'sell your granny' dealer. 7/10

The Missing Ring

I thought this was a rather disappointing episode, as if the writers have run out of creative imagination.

Flora has lost the engagement ring her late husband gave to her some 40 years ago. Of course the easiest thing to do is search all of Cissie's pockets.

Instead Flora thinks the ring might had been left behind inside Mildred's sewing machine which is due to be auctioned off. The ladies rush off to the auction room and bid against each other for the sewing machine.

It all culminates going to a second hand shop to try to buy back the sewing machine, where the shopkeeper makes out the sewing machine to be a family heirloom even though she only bought it a few hours earlier.

A rather tired episode.
