- Father Abel and Sister Noélle Bor are tasked with investigating the unexplained collapse of the National Palace in Barcelona, only to be told there that the collapse does not seem to be the result of foul-play. They use a break in the investigation to explore the city and enjoy the attractions that it offers; during the course of the day, a drunken Noélle tells Abel that she is in love with him, but he gently rejects her. When the investigation resumes later that evening, Noélle travels to a pharmaceutical company in search of more information; elsewhere, Abel finds the body of Professor Barrie. Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer appears and reveals to Abel the Silent Noise system that was developed by the professor and is capable of destroying entire cities in moments. He then activates the weapon and destroys much of Barcelona. In the devastation, Noélle is killed and, although Abel is able to destroy the system, Isaak escapes.
- Once more Abel(accompanied by Noelle Bor)is sent to Barcelona to investigate the collapse of a building known as the National Palace. Inspired by the sights and sounds of Barcelona, Noelle attempts to express her feelings for Abel. In spite of her feelings, Noelle and Abel continue their investigation, only uncover some strange findings. But little do they know that destruction begins at the tone of the bell.—N.D.P.
- The Vatican is launching an inquest into the destruction of the National Palace in Barcelona. Father Abel, accompanied by Sister Noelle, has been assigned to investigate. The odd thing is that only the National Palace was leveled, but none of the surrounding buildings were touched. Also, there is no trace of any explosive devices in the rubble. The official report cites faulty trusses, but neither Abel nor Noelle buy that explanation and decide to stick around for a few more days. After a day of sightseeing and a dinner with the wine a-flowing, Noelle attempts to tell Abel about her feelings for him. Before she can say much, however, they are interrupted by a cellphone call from Sister Kate informing them that they are to check out the Segrotto Familia, which has just been purchased for a great deal of money by the Dominic Pharmacy. They split up, Noelle going to the Pharmacy and Abel to the Segrotto. Noelle is surprised to find a pile of papers at the Pharmacy that name James Barrie as the CEO. At the same time, Abel finds Barrie hanging by his neck from the ceiling of the Segrotto. Suddenly, an organ begins to play. The organist introduces himself as Isaac Fernando Von Kampfer of the Order of Rosenkreutz. Von Kampfer is using his organ, which he calls "the silent noise system," to destroy targeted churches throughout the city. As he begins to play his organ again, buildings all over Barcelona start collapsing. Demons appear and charge at Abel, so Abel goes Krusnick. He is able to defeat the demons, but Von Kampfer gets away and Barcelona lies in ruins.
