- Ronnie has a nightmare interview with the police. The attempt to get Calley together with Robbie goes wrong, thanks to Trevor and Gonch's crèche idea seems doomed before it can properly begin.
- Ronnie goes to the police station, and gets a nerve-wracking interview about her shoplifting. She is let off with a caution, and a warning that any further misdemeanours would be dealt with in a more serious fashion. Helen goes to a specialist about her tattoo, but he is pessimistic, because it's so large, and tells her there would be a long wait, and a scar as a result. Robbie seems to be missing, and his friends are anxious to get Robbie and Calley together after the non-event the day before. Ziggy asks Trevor to pass on the word - but he has his own agenda as regards Calley, and has no intention of helping the romance along. Meanwhile Robbie has found Mauler's den, and has a bucket of water ready. After asking Ronnie out to the pictures, Gonch tells her about the crèche idea, and tells her he couldn't afford to take her out, unless he can make some cash first. After the semi-final match against St. Joe's (where, to Freddie's disgust, Grange Hill come a poor second) Robbie rounds up Ziggy and some others to go to Mauler's hideout. They erect a net outside the door, and tip water through the skylight. Mauler and his gang, soaked, rush out and a skirmish ensues. Calley, waiting at the burger bar, has a surprise in store when smartly-dressed Vince turns up. Ronnie, making a hasty exit from the ill-feted crèche, arrives at the burger bar, and finds that Calley is actually quite happy at being courted by Vince; while Robbie, arriving shortly after, can't believe his bad luck...—Geffers
