Continuity

Although the subtitle indicates that the mummy was discovered in the burial chamber in Hyder, Alaska on April 6, 1970, Sam Crawford reads an article concerning the discovery in a newspaper dated March 31, 1970.

Factual errors

The first scene takes place in Eastern Indiana in April 1970. Col. Crawford is investigating crop circles in the middle of a field of dry, standing corn. In April, there is no standing corn anywhere in Indiana. Field corn (aka feed corn or dent corn) is harvested in late autumn (sometimes as late as December) and there is nothing left in a corn field in April but stubble.

Anachronisms

When Jesse Keys saves the boy who was almost hit by a car, the soccer ball that was used is a late 1990s ball.

Plot holes

Leo tells Sam that his twin grandchildren Larry and Lester were born in 1959. Sheriff Kerby later says that Larry began trying out his abilities on the townspeople when he was sixteen. Considering that Larry was killed in about 1965 and this episode takes place in 1970, Larry and Lester would have to have been born in 1949.
Jesse Keys entered the US Army under the name Frank Pierce in order to hide from the UFO project. However, his real name can be clearly seen on his dog tags when he throws them away.
The subtitles give the name of the Alaskan town as Hyder. However, Sheriff Kerby refers to it as Haysport in dialogue and the general store is called Haysport General Store.
