Tolemac, where the game takes place, is Camelot spelled backwards.
The game was developed with a limited budget.
This game was released exclusively in Europe. The reason was that by the time the development was finished, Philips had already stopped releasing games in North America.
One major difficulty for the developers was to get images taken of the actors. As they couldn't afford to rent a professional studio, they had to improvise. For the top-down images that were needed for the in-game characters, they hung mirrors on the office ceiling and pointed the cameras at them. For the cutscenes, a wall in the same office was painted blue.
