The movie created a lot of debate. A week before TV-launch the local paper 'Midtjysk ugeblad' had the following top-article: 'Forureningsfilm skader byens image (pollution movie damages the towns reputation). Deadline, Nyhedsavisen and DR tema among others did segments on the movie. All in all 20-25 articles an pieces.
The movie is a result of The Danish Film Instituts talent-development competition: 'Boost the Dox' from 2005/2006. A search for young Danish documentary directors under 30 with a strong social voice. 100 applicants sliced down to five political documentaries.
After the premiere a town meeting was held in Grindsted. Politicians, citizens and government employees discussed the pollution in Grindsted. A suggestion about a National Plan for Action against the largest earth-pollutions in Denmark was made for 'Folketinget' by the party 'De Radikale'. This news brought about stories in the largest media organizations in Denmark (TV-avisen, Radiovisen, P1 Morgen, Information a.o.)
