They hide in the stable to listen to the girls talking, but Ziggy's boot is visible. The first test transmission takes place for Radio Grange Hill. Vince and Hollo suggests to Mrs. McClusky that the Bottle Day money goes to help Danny Kendall. Banksie asks Jackie to go with him on the barge trip, but she refuses. Imelda almost finds Vince's secret room, but Mr. Griffiths catches her before she can break in. When she leaves the building, Calley, Ronnie and Jane pounce on her, pushing her into a muddy puddle. When they regroup, pleased with themselves for avenging Mr. Scott, they don't realize Ziggy and Robbie are listening in the tree above. Ziggy thinks he's cracked their code - but the girls have a second system in operation. When Roland goes to congratulate Danny on the working radio, he finds him lying unconscious by the equipment.
