Revealing mistakes

At the end of this episode, during the "ghost disappearance" scene, when Donna Mills' character fades from view by the pool, her reflection is still visible in the water.

Miscellaneous

The opening scene shows the date as Jan 14, but the officer typing up the death report has dated it Jan 12. Stillman says that the power cut occurred on the night of Jan 11, and Miller says that the ME estimated death at 1a.m., i.e. Jan 12.

Anachronisms

January 1996 scene the song One Headlight plays, which was not released until 1997.

Character error

The opening scene dates the crime as January 14, 1996, but as the team is reviewing the case, Stillman gives the date as January 11, 1996.
When Valens is looking at the underside of the diving board, he touches the board and scratches barehanded. Any veteran homicide detective wouldn't disturb potential evidence like that.
